MANUFACTURING ADHESIVES
The emission of formaldehyde is an important factor in the evaluation of the environmental and health effects of wood-based board materials. The acceptable levels of formaldehyde emission from wood panel products have been continuously reduced over the last decades due to driving factors of increased public awareness and corresponding government regulations.
The issue of formaldehyde release from composite wood panels is mainly related to the use of urea-formaldehyde (UF) resins as bonding adhesives. All of Style’s range is manufactured using a proprietary Urea-Free. This adhesive emits virtually no formaldehyde (0.01ppm) making it a safe and healthy floor for use in all interiors.
