Style Limited was listed on the Australian Securities Exchange on 2 April 2004. The Company has been at the forefront of developments in commercialising sustainable ecological products since its inception, with a focus on green” flooring products based on our patented strand woven technologies.
Prior to Style’s listing on the ASX, the Company developed a relationship with Anji Tianfeng Bamboo & Wooden Co. Ltd (ATBW), eventually taking a 50% investment in the joint venture company Anji Ya Feng Bamboo Products Co. Ltd (AYF). In 2007 the Company acquired 100% of equity in AYF, and established AYF as Style’s manufacturing centre in China.
During 2004, the Company launched a network of franchisees in both Australia and New Zealand, which saw the establishment of retail outlets for renewable resource products. The franchise system was subsequently sold when it became a non-core activity due to the strategic change of the group to concentrate on international markets. Since 2004, the Company has also gradually signed agreements with key distributors in strategic markets worldwide for the sale and distribution of Style’s products.
In 2007, Style further diversified its investments by entering into long-term leases for plantation and development sites in Wanzai County, China. The aim was to secure long term supply of bamboo for projected future growth.
In 2008, after considerable years of research and development, the Company filed a raft of patents for inventions involving the use of waste wood and replenishable wood species in the creation of high-performance flooring products. These patents form the basis for new Licence Agreements being entered into with major flooring manufacturers worldwide, creating a new platform for the distribution of Style’s technology.
