BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Charles Gullotta (Chairman, Non-Executive Director)
Mr Gullotta is a Sydney-based Certified Practicing Accountant and investment adviser, with seats on the Boards of a number of major manufacturing companies in Australia and New Zealand.

His current non-executive directorships include the alternative fuels supplier, Australian Renewable Fuels Limited, which is currently producing commercial-scale biodiesel at plants in Adelaide and Picton, Western Australia.

Mr Gullotta is the Founding Director of the Sydney-based investment advisory firm, Winchester Associates Pty Ltd, and is a Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.

A dual Commerce-Law degree holder from the University of New South Wales, he has extensive experience in financial analysis, structuring and completion of acquisitions and divestments for private and public companies in a wide range of service and manufacturing industries.
Andrew Nuland
(Non-Executive Director)
Andrew Nuland has been based in Shanghai since 1992, where he has managed the launch and development of several consumer businesses and later worked as an investment consultant and business advisor to several leading multinational companies.

Between 1996 and 2006, Mr Nuland served as the founding Managing Director and Chairman of drinks manufacturer, Bacardi China, where he oversaw the launch and development of the Bacardi Group’s Chinese operations.

In recent years, Mr Nuland has worked as an investment consultant for a number of leading private equity firms and multinational companies based in Shanghai. He has advised on major strategic acquisitions and capital raisings, Chinese start-ups and transformations of several foreign invested and local Chinese companies.

Mr Nuland is a graduate of Yale University, the Wharton School of Business and the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Arts and Sciences. He sits on the Board of Trustees of the Yale-China Association, and the advisory boards of the Shanghai-based mobile entertainment company, D-Mobile Inc, and the US animation developer, Animobile Inc.
Peter Torreele (Executive Director, Chief Executive Officer)
Peter is a turn-around specialist with over 20 years of international business experience in the Consumer, Services and Building Industries, at Danone Group and Roche Group, at the World Economic Forum (Davos) and recently as CEO of Style Ltd. Peter has particular expertise in China.

Before becoming the CEO of Style Ltd in June 2008, Peter was the youngest Managing Director at the World Economic Forum (Davos), leading the Centre for Regional Strategies in Geneva and the Centre for Global Growth Companies in Beijing. He delivered the first “Summer Davos” in China designed in partnership with the National Development and Reform Council (NDRC) of the Chinese Government to assist emerging multinationals in their global expansion. He was also responsible for the global expansion of the Technology Pioneers community, a select group of early stage companies that combine innovative technologies with successful business models.

Before joining the Forum, Peter had a 15 year international career as a Senior Executive in two Fortune500 companies, Roche Group and Danone Group. Previous functions include Marketing Director of the Danone UK yoghurt division, Commercial Director of the North European Danone beer division and Vice President Global Marketing at the Roche Consumer Health division.

Peter has an engineering degree complemented with an economics degree and a Marketing MBA.

Smith, Paul – Chief Financial Officer & Company Secretary

Paul has over 18 years of finance experience with broad industry exposure throughout Asia and Australia for a variety of Multinationals, Private Equity and SME businesses. He has worked as Finance Manager at Ford Motor Company Australia and Sancella Pty. He has been CFO and Company Secretary at Flowserve Australia Pty, GMC Worldwide Pty and Education Works Pty.

Paul has a Bachelor of Business degree and a Masters of Accounting from the Monash University (Melbourne). He is an associate Member of CPA Australia.

Paul is of Australian nationality and is based in Melbourne.

Sascha S. Abazari – Head of Operations China

Sascha has been in top management positions in China since 2005.
Before joining Style, Sascha has worked for Proinsa (Shanghai) and for Microsoft (Munich & Madrid).

Sascha holds a Bachelors Degree in Languages from the University of ULPGC (Spain) and the Queen’s University of Belfast (UK). He is fluent in German, English, Spanish and Mandarin.

Sascha is of German nationality and is based at Style China Office in Zhejiang.

Allan, Melanie – Marketing Director

Melanie has been working in China since 2003 in Sales and Marketing positions at Hangzhou Birchwoods Awnings, Jai Tai. Prior to China, she worked as Marketing Manager at Weatherseal Holdings UK.

Melanie is a Bachelor of Law from the University of London with a Master in International Law from the Leuven University (Belgium) and a Certificate in Chinese language from the Zhejiang University (China). She is fluent in Mandarin.

Melanie is of British nationality and is based in Leeds, UK.

Buchanan, Dewevai – President Style North America

Dewevai has over 20 years of experience in the North American flooring market. He has been Director of Sales & Marketing at Kahrs Hardwood Floors and Vice President Sales & Marketing at Award Hardwood Floors. In 2001, he joined Mohawk Industries, one of the leading flooring companies in the USA to become their Vice President, Wood Products Division. In this capacity, Dewevai managed the Mohawk hardwood and laminate division, and oversaw the Mohawk, Columbia and Century brands as well as national account channels such as Home Depot, Lowes and Lumber Liquidators. Dewevai is a board member of the American National Wood Floor Association.

Dewevai is of American nationality and is based in Texas, USA.

Cox, Chris – Sales Director North America

Chris has over 30 years of flooring experience in the American market, both in the residential and commercial markets. He has worked in retail and commercial divisions at Glenn’s Carpets and Design, the Butler-Johnson Corporation, Diamond W and BR Funsten.

Prior to these positions, Chris served in the United States Air Force.

Chris is of American nationality and is based in South Carolina, USA.

Mathys, Tom – Sales Director Europe

Tom has over 15 years experience in the flooring industry in senior sales positions throughout Europe for Solid NV, Balta Industries and Mohawk Industries (Unilin flooring division).

He has particular expertise on Eastern Europe.

Tom has a Masters of Arts in Modern Languages from the Mercator University of Ghent (Belgium) and a Scholarship at the Moscow State University. He is fluent in Dutch, French, English, German and Russian.

Tom is of Belgian nationality and is based in Ghent, Belgium.

Tsao, Jeo – R&D Director, VGM Style China

Jeo has 15 years of management experience with large Chinese manufacturing companies, with particular expertise in QA, QC, product safety and production improvement projects. He has worked in management positions at Stacom Communication Equipment Co., Leader Electronics Inc., Super Group Co. Ltd. and Ardia (JiaXing) Household Products Co. where he was a Vice General Manager.

Jeo has a Major in Material Science & Engineering and a Major in PR & Marketing from the Lanzhou University, China.

Jeo is of Chinese nationality, fluent in English and is based in Hangzhou, China.

Wilson, Greg – Technical manager/Business Development

Greg has been working in China since 2007 and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Prior to China, he was project manager at Professional Realty Services in Maryland, US. He founded his own Chinese company GW Enterprises in Hangzhou, China in 2007.

Greg has a Bachelor of Science from the Frostburg State University and an MBA from the University of Maryland.

Greg is of American nationality, and is currently based in Melbourne.
